For the people that have installed the ASM trunk or any other cf trunk, how did you set up your trunk springs? I'm aiming for a middle ground between flying up like a rocket and not opening up at all.
Based on your setup, the standard trunk springs is what you would use. Trunk springs might twist the trunk in the front and you might have to remove both.
OK, I tried it with one spring and the opening force is perfect but there is a problem. The corner of the trunk where I remove the spring sits about 1/4" lower than the body of the car(its the same for both sides). The gap lines are still perfectly even throughout and the only solution I see is to either put 1/4" spacers between the hinge and the trunk or to adjust the hinge upwards(Can it be done?).

Install some washers between the trunk hing bracket and the trunk. I would recommend some stainless or titanium ones, so you don't have a rust spot left on the trunk/hinge once your remove them.
i too ran one spring until i got my gt05 wing, after that i was able to run both.
That is surprising, I run 1 spring on my ASM trunk/GT05 wing combo, but then again - I'm not expecting it to do much other than keep the trunk open for me.

yeah when i autox'd my03, i always had to load stuff into the trunk... it keeps it propped up especially when the trade winds are blowing.
