Its here!!!!! Probably going to be a bit before I get it put on. Friend whos doing the paint is way backed up and I want to go ahead and get the front end cleaned up a bit from a bit of a bad prep job when that was resprayed.
So I failed to do any research whatsoever so now I need to wait for a license plate bracket and rear crash bar to come in from Japan. I'm using the US crash bar with the tow hook hacked off for the time being but I want to do a proper install. Unbeknownst to me Japan requires license plates to be attached to the chassis not the bumper, so theres a mount I need to rivet to the chassis and modify to accept US plates. And if I'm going that far I might as well do the JDM crash bar as well. I'll need to paint the entire rear black as well because a lot of white shows through currently.
I did at least manage to get it installed this weekend and I cut down the rear tabs for wheel fitment. Used my OEM bumper as a template but still really nervous I'm going to rub, but I guess its a lot easier to fix the fiberglass before paint than after if that happens. Also I'm amazed how close the gel coat is to GPW, I've seen paint jobs that are father off than that.
Interesting that even with the white, it still shows too much colour through the venting. In the mockup above, it looks fantastic and flows well with your existing parts.
I love the ASM rear bumper as well, but also contemplated the issue of colour showing through (particularly yellow for my car).

Once I get the JDM crash bar/plate mount I'll be painting the rear section black so its a bit cleaner, my car is not close to a showroom example so the white isnt even pretty back there. I am glad that I mocked it up since I had to take more off side for tire/wheel clearance. Should have the parts mid-Nov and then painted hopefully before the new year.
