Tommy or Aaron, have you guys had anyone order the Siren exhaust here in the US? I'm still itching for that thing.

I did this today for you Hunter.

Thanks for the pics!!!! That is awesome quality for sure.

I didn't know you had these in stock. That is saying a lot! Congratulations on the success and thanks for the pics! This is an awesome representation of just how far ASM will go.

I cannot think of any other company that pushes the envelope to a degree that is as extreme as ASM. You all know that Amuse is my favorite company. One of the reasons is because Amuse has sentimental value to me. If it wasn't for that special value, ASM would be my favorite company hands down!!! Great job GoTuning!

That's roughly the price of the seat by the time it hits the US.

I agree with most of you guys on the tow hook but I think most people miss the point of these kinds of parts. They're never meant for the public to purchase and the price is based on a set markup above on the cost of manufacturing. These prices aren't just made up out of nowhere. Machining 7075 duralumin is nothing close to new, but to machine a solid block of duralumin in a complex 3D shape along with a titanium bolt set, it gets pretty expensive. But the point is that ASM is producing these parts solely for their own goals and purposes. Why? because they can, and when they do, the first question is always, how much? They never expect the general public to be buying these but when they produce parts, they always produce in batches so they have race spares and just in case they have customers are crazy enough to buy it, and trust me, they have customers that are more than willing to shell out. They've actually already sold a few sets. But to each their own right? It's all relative, F1 would probably spend over $100k in development and tooling to lose a few grams.

So is ASM still under the Super Autobacs umbrella, because that entity is not doing so well, or is ASM their own company now.

I think that this is a point very well made, and for me personally, it puts a lot into perspective. I myself could never justify a purchase like this, but I do however appreciate it in the grand scheme of things.

I especially like the F1 scenario. If the expense was difficult to understand before, I think that this clarifies a lot.

ASM is still a subsidiary of Autobacs Seven which is still by far the largest auto parts chain in Japan. ASM has continued to exceed their sales quotas market adjusted to them by Autobacs Seven. So in relative terms, they're still a very successful Autobacs asset. Even though Autobacs' revenues have fallen this year they still do over $2 billion USD in sales with over 500 stores so not doing so well is a relative term. Just like Toyota isn't doing as well this year, it's still Toyota...

when kanayama san gave me a business card from his cf holder, i nearly flipped out. the holder was awesome asm dry carbon. i really wanted one.

he was also very proud of the tow hook. i played with both the duralumin ones. they're incredibly light.
