ASM Rear Bumper without the CF cap so I could run the Spoon diffuser. If I ran with with the CF cap, I would need to modify the diffuser to mount lower as it would rub against the CF cap.

I know this is probably a ridiculous question, but I examined the close up pics and I was just SO AMAZED at the quality in craftsmanship; what is the story behind this ASM tow hook?

hmmm... so opera performance did the chassis lightening/stiffening on the asm s2000 (has mugen front but with ITBs). i was just looking thru the 3rd or 4th s2000 hyperRev and they were talking about it.
The ASM Car No.1 and Tsukuba Widebody chassis are both built at D-Dream.

I took the picture that's on the blog . In short the car is basically a Japan road legal car with a chassis built at D-Dream and the entire catalog of standard dry carbon aero parts from ASM with a TODA 2.4L motor and street tires. The car still has power glass windows and everything on the car is accessible to the general public. There is actually a customer in Japan that has nearly an identical car.

Those tow hooks were designed as part of their weight reduction campaign. They're 1/3 the weight of the standard tow hooks so they shave about 1-2 lbs each by using A7075 Duralumin.
