I don't think there is anything else holding the rear tray in. You have to pop it out from under the spare tire side. Then go back inside and pull the tray out.
do you really have to just pop it, or do you have to motivate it heavily? cause im not a strong man, but im not weak and i could get that bastard to move.

OK, so there are the four clips under the roll hoops. Check.
The three clips in the rear garnish. Check.
Four clips beneath the rear garnish attached to the tray. Check
And the two outside clips on the rear tray check.
It should pop off from the underside from there.

ok. so if your stand at the back of the car looking forward:

where the tray meets the factory roll bar hoops. i popped the 4 clips on the tray.

where the tray extends back and meet the trim under the glass window. i unscrewed to screws with large black heads.

the tray is loose on the sides, i can get my fingers under it and pull it upward but it seems to be will attached in the middle sections still. i cant any other clip screw other than those.

thanks for the help so far... if i can get this tray out, i can put this damn thing in tomorrow!
sounds to me like you still have the screws that attach to the center consel *from the trunk side and underneath the tray* on.

did you go in from the trunk and find these...

I hope so, get your flashlight and go in there - it's also easier to pop it out from there.

Negative, There are no screws that hold the rear tray from underneath. It should pop off from pushing from the bottom upwards.

There are several screws under there that remove the center console, but not the rear tray.

I just removed my rear tray from the check list provided. I fact you don't even need to remove the two outside screws in the last step. All red circles are what hold the rear tray in place.
