So did you get the tray out. It was a pain when I did mine. There were 2 clips one on each side that I could not see. Once I found them it popped out. If I remember right I got to them from inside the trunk underneath.

Yeah, you will need a solid drill bit. Drilling inside the trunk on the uneven surfaces with little room to press down is not fun either. Get a slighty oversided bit.

Hope this helps a little..

there are a couple of 10mm screws underneath that go into the area of the center consel.

the way to get there is via the trunk and removing the spare and putting side the trunk lining.

is a small space but in there you can see with a light how the tray is in. the 2 hardest screws to me where the plastic ones on top of the 2 corner pieces but you may not have to remove that.

once everything is off it pops upward by hitting it from below. if you removed all the screws - not just the clips it will pop off.

ok. so if your stand at the back of the car looking forward:

where the tray meets the factory roll bar hoops. i popped the 4 clips on the tray.

where the tray extends back and meet the trim under the glass window. i unscrewed to screws with large black heads.

the tray is loose on the sides, i can get my fingers under it and pull it upward but it seems to be will attached in the middle sections still. i cant any other clip screw other than those.

thanks for the help so far... if i can get this tray out, i can put this damn thing in tomorrow!

So did you get it out yet? It looks like you got all the clips. Are you just having a hard time getting it through the rool hoops?

I don't think there is anything else holding the rear tray in. You have to pop it out from under the spare tire side. Then go back inside and pull the tray out.
