Default endless

I keep reading about spoon calipers working with the abs, does the endless big brake kit not work with ABS? Do you have to disconnect the ABS if you're using the endless brake kit?

no, the endless will also work with ABS, but you will be wasting endless kit's extra braking power since the stock ABS's programing won't compensate for the additional braking power of the endless. On the other hand, Spoon calipers uses stock pads and rotor size will retain the full functionality of the OE ABS. Spoon caliper being Nisin made helps too haha since that's what OE's are made from.

So the endless won't retain full functionality of the OE ABS? And spoon being made by nissin helps in what actual way?

endless will retain full functionality, but won't be able to give you the full braking power endless is capable of.

Is the same true for a Stoptech BBK? Did you keep from reinstalling the ABS on the new brakes?

i think companies like Stoptech, Rotora, Brembo are all made to work with OEM specs while they tend to come with new lines...Endless is pretty hardcore...

How about Project Mu kits?

The car will stop faster with an endless kit and the factory abs enabled then if you disconnected the abs though right? JsAP1 you have had both spoon and endless right? Can you explain the difference in feel and braking power? [or really braking power feel ] By that I mean do the endless FEEL like they brake harder? Thanks again bro, you seem to know the answers to all my questions.

ABS just monitors wheel lock-up. If the wheels lock up a BBK can't do anything to make it stop faster. Disabling ABS would increase your stopping distance. What a BBK will do is increase the point of when the wheel lock ups. The stock program is just fine for any BBK, it works in the same fashion as stock. Remember when wheels lock up you lose traction and control, ABS allows you to maintain both of these. Anyone who tells you that a properly equipped ABS car will have further stopping distances in the same car with the ABS disabled is wrong.
