This is a terrible setup...

if you want a cheap 2.4 setup use inline-pro's rods and off the shelf Mahle S2000 pistons. Why would you put a piston designed for a COMPLETELY different engine in your motor?

obviously the set up is holding up, and has been done time and time again. don't come in knocking this guys thread, if you think its blasphemy to put h22rods and pistons in an F series, fine, but dont go calling this setup terrible when its obviously holding up fine.

i just had a few questions before i started ordering parts and didnt intend to inflame any insensitivy here.

Kial nice set up,

got a question, would it be possible to rev this motor to 9k rpm+ and still be reliable?

just because the parts will go in doesn't make them right

the pin offset on the pistons is wrong, the compression height is wrong, the valve reliefs are wrong, the dome shape is wrong.......

Just when you thought this thread was dead Kial did you get to try your skunk2 cams again? Finally putting my 2.5 together and came to a stopping point with the crank key being to long so I reread all 18 pages. I will start another thread for mine, but again thanks for a detailed read. Matt

Kial007: This was a fantastic thread! Thanks for all your hard work.
Do you have any fresh dyno numbers?
Do you track the car any?
Have you considered going F.I as well... if so, Turbo or SC?
Anything you would do differently?
If you any pictures of this lip that needs to be removed on K24 crank... can you please post , perhaps with an arrow pointing at it?
Thanks in advance.

BUMP!
This is a great thread! It never should have ended!

It would be great to know if this build held up. I have reservations about the Mahle pistons longevity, but the Dyno sheet spoke for itself! Is there a blueprint for this build?? Comparisons of stock weight of the rotating assembly? How much does the K24 crank weigh?

...Still reading, Kial007??
