I understand what we are talking about.. i wasnt saying that i would use a 17mm pin in this application, just that i have on other applications with a piston that was a few mm shorter.

my goal with this is an off the shelf "cheap" rod with a custom (maybe one day shelf with enough demand) piston. If the issue off the pin being in the oil can can be overcome the toyota rod is the best option that i have found so far.

i havent read through all the pages but if compression is a problem why not run a 2mm/3mm headgasket?

Hi Kial 007,
I think you're still around, so I'm reviving this tread for an update, how's your stroker holding up so far?
Any words of wisdom you would share with us on this setup?
Thanks for sharing.
Cheers

everythings holding up fine. My car is parked for the winter and I'm thinking about tearing the engine down to see how it looks inside. But it's held up really well, it's my daily driver 3 seasons of the year (8-9 months) for the past nearly 3 years and I've had no major issue.

My question is simple. How much did this cost?

Could someone give me a ballpark estimate for how much this would cost? And what would it take to run reliably at 9k RPM for daily driving? Really like the way this build turned out, the dyno numbers are amazing.

Build looks nice. Glad to hear it's holding together well for you.

I want more information/development with what vehicular and wadzii were talking about throwing together. I'd love to see something we can spin to 9000 and it looked like they were getting there at a reasonable price.

this may be a noob question but im very seriously looking into this build, (and sorry for the bump but i may start a similar build this coming week and needed some last minute info) what bearings did you get to work with the custom milled down h22a rods? could you just order bearings from any of the k24 engines? someone enlighten me on this, this is the only part of the process i need light shined on.
tia, and awesome, awesome thread.
