we need to start a e-manage thread.you know its great that giles tunes the s2000 but for some the price is high and maybe he isnt in your area.i have a local dyno and pay $100 for an hour.problem is i have no idea on how to tune a e-manage ultimate you know why, because giles is the only guy doing it and no one is posting any useful information.tuning a vafc is very simple if you keep in mind where the a/f should be eg.13.1.1-13.7.1.now timing is something totally different.i hope that i get the chance to have giles tune my car but i'd rather learn something about how to tune rather then have someone do it for me.
I had ult emanage in the past, never got to install it. I am in the market again for the unit and harness. I want to start learning to tune myself, I have a pretty good understanding of the principles, the only thing I am lacking is a dyno.
BUT with that being said, the f20c is a good engine to learn to tune on, N/A at least, Forged internals, can basically see a BUNCH of knock before it starts melting.
WOT tune should be on the easier side of tuning N/A, I am going to start with that, get a mic to listen to the knock sensor, get some kinda of laptop software that recored engine time vs rev, to see if you are making progress on power. you can adjust your tune when you get to a real dyno.
The only real downside is that you don't get the full tuning capabilities of a standalone. That being said, it's a very capable system for being a piggyback. If you have a good tuner, you will be impressed with this system's capabilities!

So if you have a good tuner, are there any down sides to this or is it just plug play and tune?
i think you have your answer on where to go.
although if you have the s/c listed in your sig, you really might want to consider the aem ems instead.
the em-u is perfect for n/a tunes; but a stand alone is the better choice with FI.

If i were going over 9lbs then id kpro. If this unit can do all that problem free, then it sounds like its for me.
