Gruppe-M Intake

^That would be a very good idea to those with the Gruppe-M intake. Some people have done this with the stock box as well. I'm not sure of the gain there, but I think the Gruppe-M would definitely benefit from taking in air from that area.

I think Gruppe M being who they are, would have thought of that and settled on the design for a reason? Im guessing there would have been some extensive testing of temperature into the intake, for different designs etc...

You may be right but I think the only draw back would be no "forced" air from the front of the vehicle. The way mine was situated I really did'nt mind due to the cooling plate I had. It has a "diverter" panel riveted to it which sortof forced the air towards the mouth of the intake. How effective was it........that I cannot answer.

It's a nice change from having to hack up your hood or having to buy a $1500 hood just to accomodate your $1200 or more intake. Thats why after the three intakes I went through, I chose the GruppeM. My .02.
