GruppeM intake
This is the intake as seen on Ro_ja_Boy's. I'm curious to see if this design is effective. It looks like it is pulling cold air out of the area in the fender with a reserve before and after the filter. The Kevlar CF construction is to insulate the intake air from the engine. A design that makes sense, however, tt would seem the shapes of the two chambers would cause turbulence in the intake air. I assume GruppeM must have done some research before producing the intake. Can anyone with the background explain to me the dynamics of this intake design?
I think it is all about volume and fully enveloping the filter with air equally on all sides.
have to say that the J's and ASM intakes still win the competition for me in terms of being the most efficient design,
same principles as the M's just slight better executed, which is what all good Tuning parts are really.
