Default gt wing on an ap2, will it flex my trunk?

Hi guys, planning on running a nice big gt wing on my car soon but i've heard that at high speeds, the downforce will actually press the wing down so much it would damage the stock trunk?

how true is that?

hmm... ok. just wondering, u think a type 2 is overkill as a wing? or a type 1 is enough?

the Type 2 offers the built in gurney flap, so it can generate a little better downforce than the type one. get one that mounts at the edges regardless of what you purchase.

I have the J's 3D wing and even at extremely illegal speeds Ive had no problems. They are stout pieces when attached properly.

my friend has an apr gtc-200 on a 2nd stock trunk and you can tell that the wing is causing some deformation of the trunk, but then again, his mounts towards the center. on my seibon trunk, there seems to be a slight change to how it fits from the voltex type 4 that mounts towards the edges. hard to say though
