How is this JDM at all man, it's a knock-off. I would just advise against buying knock-off eBay items, they very rarely ever come close to meeting the expectations set by the real part ... there was a huge article in SCC about a year ago about knockoff eBay parts that they tested, the quality was horrible and half of the time it wasn't even the same part listed in the auction.
That being said, I know someone who got one of the real things (made by Cusco, and called a front lower brace or something, not an H-brace) and he said there was really no difference except that when REALLY pushing the car it seemed to be a little bit harder to break the front loose. The thing is though, even if this is a great knock-off part, you would have to push your car to the limit to know, and I don't know if I'd feel comfortable pushing that thing to the absolute limit....

yeah this seems to be a replica of the Cusco U-brace. I like the "look" when running all the Cusco bracing products underneath the car, but as far as functionality, I think the popular X-brace design could serve as more of a more effective design.
