In the US how much is the genuine Amuse hard top compared with the carbon fibre version of the genuine Mugen top?

Chris.
amuse is 8500, CF mugen is 7000 brand new
Then you folks are getting ripped off.

I bought my Mugen HT in 2003 used for $2500. A new CF one at the same time from King was $5000+ tax. Why on Earth would you pay $7000 for a brand new one 10 years later and the car out of production? Makes no sense. They should be under $5000 when you can pick up a used 2000 S2000 for under $10,000 cash.

Lol, it's called exchange rates.

Regardless, still not even close to being worth that much and as long as you folks keep paying the outlandish prices for a 13 year old car, these vendors and Japan will keep charging it.

While I agree with you, the parts are just not worth that kind of money. You know, you have been around the S2000 scene long enough and I bet you remember the prices I quoted. They were like that for years.

So I thought I would update this...

As I suspected a shop I always bought from has them for similar prices. As you can see not much change in prices for new hardtops since 2003.

Mugen Hard Top
CFRP: $5649USD/$8474CDN So used this should be in the $3000-$4000 range.
GFRP: $2625USD/$3938CDN So used this should be in the $2000-$2100 range.

Now keep in mind this car is old and prices should be lower used than I quoted because a used S2000 can run $8000 bucks, maybe less.
