help spoon mirror glass
soooo haha since i can't read the instuctions do i just stick them on over or shouldi take hte old glass out... help i'm tryin to put all these lame parts on for tomarrow
you will need to use more double sided body tape than what they provide... JDM mirrors have a convex, and they won't fit with the lack of curvature in the US mirrors without it... you may get them to stick, but they will slowly vibrate off... use extra tape and they will stay put.
I don't think they are junk...veilsideap1 is right...The mirrors are convex and not flat like our oem ones, so more double sided tape is required, NOT recommended.
They work great for me, I was able to see most of my blind spots with them.

I bought the Spoon Convex mirrors and could not get them to securely
stay on even with double or triple added tape. I mean, yes with enough
tape they would stick, but I thought for sure after some hard driving that
they would fall off.
I found a link here that actually recommended removing the mirror
from the stock housing and replace it with the Spoon mirrors.
I followed the directions and it worked great.
I tried searching for the link, but search is giving me an error.
Look under the Group Buy section until you find the discussion on Level
Optic mirrors. It has several pages, but that is where I found the
link on how to actually replace the glass.
Basically, you can pop out the factory mirrors by lifting from the
bottom and pulling up. I'm talking about the mirror with the black
frame. They actually pop off easily, but you feel like you are going
to break something.
Once off, I heated the mirror and frame in the center since there
is the white adhesive goop that hold the mirror to the frame. I used
a hair dryer. One of the links you will find suggests boiling it also.
But the hair dryer worked great for me. Just set it on high for 1 min
and start pulling the mirror from the frame. You'll want to save the
white adhesive to re-use on the Spoon mirrors. Once off, just place
the Spoon mirror on and snap the factory frame back on.
Do both sides and then re-install the mirrors.
It looks factory and will not fall off.
Hope this helps.
