Thumbs up I/H/E AP2 power

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to figure out what kind of set up produces good power. What products do you have on your car? I just want to see what people have on their AP2s that really work well. Please put up your dyno numbers, whether or not it was tuned (with before and after dyno numbers) with what system, and how much you spent on everything.

Please also note your noise level: Rate 1-5
1: stock
5: full catless no resontor 70mm noise
Mention also if you experiance drone

Thanks,
Calvin

PS: Please note what type of dyno you used.
This post should not be limited to people who replaces all of their I/H/E
Partail stockers are welcome too.

Actually... I've researched this before and running I/H/E isn't really a good idea because at WOT, the car runs very lean, which isn't good at all. So if you have that setup, you should really consider getting a tune before laying on the car.

But as far as Intake and full exhaust (with stock header)... you can expect somewhere around 215 to 220 whp... depending on whether you use a 63mm or 70mm. 70mm is the way to go though... great power. Right now I have the 63, but I'm going to upgrade to the 70mm.

Noise level with TP and 63 is about a 3.5 and just stupid loud at WOT. I'm very satisfied with the T1R and K&N setup... great power and AMAZING SOUND!!!! Sorry I don't have any dyno #'s for you, but I haven't gone for a tune yet, but I will be soon.

Hey Andre,

Thanks for the post! What tuning platform are you planning on using and where are you going to get it tuned. Just asking since i live in Northern Jersey also.

i don't have any dyno numbers, but i'd recommend j's racing for the i/h/e. you should have no problems getting 20-25 more hp with an j's racing i/h/e highflowcat/straightpipe setup.

s2k Kidd,

what is your impression from your mods. Low mid and high end? What about noise?

Does that say 215 hp or 225 hp?

Nice numbers!
I'm piecing together a similar setup:

I recently installed a J's 70RS on My AP2.
I have a Testpipe, '00 ECU arriving this week.
Stock header/airbox for now.
