J's 300PS S2000
I have heard different opinions on this, and seen different shops take it to different levels, but basically they machine the block to the specs it is *supposed* to be from the factory -- chamfer and de-burr all rough edges, hone the main housings, surface the deck perpendicular to the crank, bore true the cylinders perpendicular to the block, and (using a torque plate) hone the cyinder bores perpendicular to the block. I know that when our cylinders are bored/honed Honda uses a torque plate (very rare for OEM blocks), so the cylinder bores for the F20C and F22C engines should be fine.
All of this can free up a little horsepower, but from my understanding is mainly done for engine longevitiy and reliability, especially in hard racing conditions.

when i went to j's racing, i saw j's most powerful s2000, which makes 320hp and has itb's. The specs are in hyperrev #112, but i can't translate any of it. I'm guessing they've done new mods that are not listed in the article, because they are always tuning their cars and making them faster.
