Default J's 60rs

(Description edit... feeling confident that I didn't get a counterfeit)

I bought my 60rs about 15 months ago --- and have put about 10,000 miles on it.

It's off my car now because something broke free inside the resonator...
Which sucks... I'm trying to get someone to cut it apart and try to repair it...

But whats bugging me right now is something that i really didn't notice at first, and then forgot about because the exhaust was on my car and seemed fine.

Check out the photo --- see anything weird?

---- my 60RS doesn't have the welded on J's logo under the tip.

Is anyone else's like this?

It didn't come in a box -- just wrapped in bubble wrap

Is it an FX model? did you buy it new? and if so, who from? I'll try my best to help you out!

Regards,

Greg

I wasn't thinking replica... more like counterfeit.

it's probably a true J's --- just cracked inside

ti is famously brittle

What's worse is the OEM...

Feels like I'm driving with the air conditioner on
I keep bogging it down at stoplights...

And damn that OEM is heavy --- nearly killed myself putting the thing back on.

On the j's racing website they reported replica j's racing exhausts being circulated. i haven't seen any in the U.S. tho.

I had an older (non-FX) model and it had the J's logo badge welded onto the muffler, it was not on the tip though if that is what you're talking about.

Sucks to hear about your resonator, mine went out too and I didn't know, I thought the exhaust was just rattling against the chassis b/c I had never heard a ti resonator go out before, it's annoying!

I think that the FX version just didn't come w/ the name plate...

I just can't wait to get mine fixed and back on the car....
