just picked it up. (I'll install this weekend)

The welds look great (photos soon)

Chris said that it was a well made piece--

It's just that the center has a tube of rolled perf sheet ti that failed and cracked.
Ti is brittle and the perfs make it ever more so...
he had to weld a couple of broken pieces back on to this tube.

He also said that the packing was cheap (showed it to me) and worn out.

He replaced it with some quality packing that he wired in place (J's just lets it slide around) then he welded it all back together and it should be all good.

I have to say he's a very good guy.

His shop is right next door to Burns Stainless (super custom headers (plus the owner used to drive an S)) and does ti welding for them...

He still has the honda powered elise at his shop...
He's fabricating the header for the conversion kit.

Mine rattles when its warming up in the morning, 2k rpms, and any other time it hits that rpm. 4k is also a money spot for the rattle. At 76mph in my ap2 I get a noticeable rattle. Im looking for a place to get mine fixed but ti welding isnt exactly a common occurance. The exhuast note is wonderful but the rattle does make it sound kinda cheap. It is definitely noticeable outside and inside when it is rattling.
