What tuning program did they suggest for an 06? That would probably have to be with a test pipe as well, correct?
yeah... they reccomend an AEM EMS, they made a harness for the 2006's, as far as i know, and as far as they know... they are the only ones who have a harness compatible with the 2006. i believe they sell the harness somewhere from 500-600 bucks? they also said a test pipe is negligible on this car...mostly weight savings... that in itself, a test pipe won't create power.

Suprise suprise...I lost 2whp with the J's header. Anyways, congrats
What other mods do you have on the car? Also, can you provide the dyno sheets on your loss in power? Just curious since we're on the topic of the J's header...I was thinking of getting one over the Comptech to compliment my Comptech S/C...

isn't comptech a 4-1? from everything i have read 4-1's make no sense for the S2k...4-2-1 is the way to go.

hey guys. so i'm kinda sick of everyone saying that the JDM mods don't make any power at all... so i went ahead and got my car redynoed, the temperature from the first run and the recent run were 77.6F and 77.8F respectively. the baseline dyno was 197.6WHP... with the J's Intake and J's header i made 215WHP... that's a 17.4 WHP Gain.... for comparison, Autowave had another 2006 S2K they did with Hondata, AEM Intake, Spugen Exhaust, and Toda header and it made the same Peak HP.

thats pretty nuts I just watched a dyno a few months back of an 04 AP2 with K&N drop in filter and Spoon snorkel put down 217

and after he installed the e-manage it put down 238

how did that 06 only put down 217

Everyone knows that JDM parts make problem, but people bash them because the price per HP gained doesn't blance out.

I my JDM though.

i dont have the dyno plot after the lost of hp but ill get Ya@inlinepro to chime in. he knows, they tuned my car. before the J's header i was making 216whp with just the t1r 70mm full titanium. Mated that exhaust with the J's header and ended up with a final number 214whp. the guys at inline took of the j's header and re-dyno'd it for free w/ the stock header and boom ended back up at 216whp.

i'd like to see dynos though of everyone who claims they lost power, peak isn't the end all number...if you picked up 10hp across the middle but lost 3hp at 8800rpms for example...you didn't lose at all.

nope, didnt pick up anything throughout the powerband. Give inline a call and see what they think of the J's header.
