I wanted a 70mm system, but im pretty happy with my AMUSE r1. I think anything bigger for a street application might be overkill. I may switch to an r1000 once I get the ITB's, who knows though.

Can you feel noticeable power with the R1?

be sure to check out the kingmotorsports website. Hondata is making 20+ whp and wtq claims with their '06 s2k reflash and toda header (you might do it all at once)

I never ran it alone, always with my test pipe and header. I installed it last though, and yes I did feel a difference.

Yeah, I'll be ordering either J's 70RR/J's Headers or Amuse R1000/Amuse Headers at the same time, but I'm hesitant on the ECU right now.

Simple, just buy both, use the R1 for street and R1000 for track.

Would a 63mm be better for street driving? What would I be losing going with a 63 instead of a 70?

63 is better for the street because you WILL lose some lowdown torque with a 70.

i just bought and installed the j's 70rr. i had the t1r 70mm before with the test pipe but i like the j's far better. its really loud and you'll attract attention. performance wise, i feel a gain, i dont kno how much but its enough and im really satified with this exhaust.

First, the Mugen is really a completely different beast from the other exhaust you are talking about -- it is much quieter, a dual, and does not make power.

Second, the J's 70RR is extremely loud, as is the T1R 70v2 exhaust and the R1000. They are all basically race exhausts that will literally damage your hearing to drive around daily -- but they make sweet power. To give you an idea of performance, T1R claims 9whp increase with their 63mm, and 14whp increase with their 70mm. If you aren't really doing a huge NA build with the car, I would probably go with a 63mm single instead of a 70mm ... but if you like loud exhausts you might love them.

Oh yeah and congrats on your new S2000, I bought mine from Wilde Sun Honda in Sarasota.
