Do you have an estimate of how much the stock/mugen headers/manifolds weigh?
I did not weigh them both, but I would guesstimate the mugen header is about 8-10lbs. lighter than stock manifold.

reddog21 "However, at the top end, the V-tec did not seem to engage as hard has before. I would say this was the only "negative" aspect that I noticed."

Really? Before installing you could barely here vtec engage and now it is louder in vtec and also feels to pull harder than with the stock manifold.

What other mods do you have? I have a K&N FIPK kit, Berk test pipe, and Toda exhaust.

I have my header paired with the stock intake, stock cat, & Mugen SS exhaust.

In my opinion (butt dyno) the header added horsepower through the entire rpm range but seemed to smooth out the hp spikes on the top end. Don't get me wrong, you can still feel the V-tec kick-in but it just doesn't seem to be quite as hard. It would be interesting to see someone dyno their car stock and then after this mod to see if that is true.

The header is definetly worth the money though. Everytime I drive the car I like it more and more.

I have not seen a dyno on the board, but King's website and Mugens website show them.

Are you going to dyno the car before and after the mugen header? By the way can you pm the price you paid for the header.

Before header install dyno coming this week

Before parts

Mugen Thermostat, Fan switch, Rad cap, radiator,
AEM FPR,
Dynomax hiflow 4" bullet mufflers 8"long (rest of exhaust is stock including cat and resonator),
Spoon snorkel

Post dyno pats will include in addition to the header.

Mugen Pressure plate
new OEM disk
Comptech Flywheel
OMNI clutch master cylinder with new SS braided clutch lines.

current mods list
shown below shows the compete list after the mods next weekend

Emanage Ultimate is in the car but is not wired in until Greddy or my self come up with a fix for the water temp tag that is necessary for the A/F feedback loop to work.. Looking in to using a modfri water temp driver to feed the Greddy like what is required to get a Full AEM to read water temp properly.
