Official Aftermarket Header Discussion

well no one was answering my questions about the ricks and tuning, so i decided to just buy one and get it installed and tuned and see what happens. plus retaining the oem heatshields are a big plus for me too. I was looking at the toda...but then the underhood temps skyrocket and I don't really want to by a vented hood.
I'll keep everyone posted; I'm really thinking w/proper tuning and bolt ons after the header ( which i have ) this should make power a lot closer up to 9k than at 7600rpms as the website claims.

Make sure you do a baseline then with the header so we get a true delta for the header.

242 isn't bad for my mods. You made just a few more lbs of tq than me and you have significantly more mods than I do. However, 253 is nice!
my mods: berks tp/header, v2, aem ems, stock exhaust=242 rhp, 175 lbs tq

Thats the 1st time ive seen a gain with the berk header. Although whats that stock dyno plot of? And whats the after dyno of? Ive never seen any kind of gain with the berk header.

the berk header NEEDS tuning. otherwise you lose a good amount of power...in particular (at least on ap1s ) there's a large dip in power at 7000rpms.
I've seen a few dyno charts w/out tuning, and on saturday saw one finally w/tuning. the powerband looked MUCH better after tuning, but it stops making power around 8k rpms. Great header for ap2s, not so much ap1s, if you get it tuned.

The initial baseline without the ems (all supporting bolt ons) was not on the graph, but @ 235 rhp, 169 lb tq. The higher #'s on the graph are the final/tuned EMS.
