they should open up shop in the US!
That would be a large business mistake. Look what happened to all the other companies that came over here. Their quality went down and their no longer the best companies around.

Sorry Hunter. Thats all that I got from my trip sadly.
No need to be sorry. You love Amuse so much that you visited their headquarters.

Some would kill for the privlage (Mason & Jeremy ).

I personally believe that it depends on the distributor who is representing the JDM company. We have been Top Secret's USA office for quite some time. We are currently working on a few others as well.

I believe that one day in the near future Amuse might work back up to the point to have another USA office; in the end nothing is for sure.

Just my two cents.

^ Oh yeah!!! When you say Mason... You are correct sir! That would be like winning the million dollar lottery for me man! I would love to see Amuse w/ a U.S. office. I think that when it comes down to it, it is the company ownership that makes the difference. If she's hardcore (and I know she is), Miss Tanabe-San will make sure the U.S. office lives up to her standards!

^ In addition... I will say that Amuse being what it is today is part of what makes them so damn cool. The exclusiveness of being where and who they are is part of the intrigue, but as long as everything is continued to be made with the utmost quality and craftmanship I know they will have my complete support.

One of the owners of Endless posted a good article a year or two ago about how they were considering pulling their office out of the USA. He was saying that the whole mainstream philosophy on tuning in the US is so different from that of Japan, and for the most part the US is more focused on looking cool and getting cheap parts than they are on actual function, that for true Japanese performance part companies to sell in the US on a mass scale would require them to go against their own busienss models (he used Tein as an example of a company who did just that).

For what it's worth, though, Endless/Zeal still has their US office open, I talked to them today .

^ Interesting point to say the least.

I would hate to see any well respected JDM tuner come to the states if it meant sacrificing their quality and ideals.

Amuse has got my full support and sometimes people ask me what the Amuse sticker means on my car. I simply tell them its one of the best aftermarket tuning companies in the world today and one of the few stickers I'd put on my car. "Support our Troops" is another as well and I feel the same way for them, I'm also one of them.

So to show my Amuse affection...

Just some photos I took playing Gran Turismo 4 as of late.

Ask Jun Auto Mechanic.

They were one of the first JDM tuners to come and set up shop in the U.S. in the late '90s. Boy was that a mistake!
