My friend and I were debating on which came first, the actual Amuse GT-1 Widebody or Gran Turismo's Amus GT-1 Widebody?
Polyphony designed the S2000 aero kit for GT4 first, and Amuse liked it so much that they decided to put it into production.

So what exactly is envolved when it comes to modifying an exhaust so that it will work w/ the GT-1 Widebody? From the pictures I would assume that it only works w/ a dual? Although I'm a ways from being in a position to purchase it, I've gained considerable interest as of late.

With the Amuse GT-1 integrated exhaust, the only way to acquire the AUTHENTIC exhaust is to ship your car to Japan and have Amuse install it. I have yet to meet a person that thinks this piece is worth $15,000 . I can't even justify this.

This way it keeps this exhaust style exclusive to Japan.

Yeah, you have to ship your car to Amuse for them to make the exhaust for you. I think its 10-15k alone for the exhuast, and that doesnt include shippping your car to and back.

Exhaust shop can make you one from 500-1200 for a regular custom exhuast.

Correct. There are many ways to modify an exhaust to integrate into this rear bumper. I have heard of people creating true dual, to people creating a rear section only. I believe ITBs2K did a custom rear exhaust...how did that work out for you?

Very nice. That it definitely one of the cleaner integrated exhausts that I have seen done for the Amuse widebody. Great job .

My brother and I made my exhuast for my car. I took the stock OEM exhuast and cut the mufflers off and used the piping from the cat all the way to where I had cut. I than had to buy mufflers that had to be small enough to fit in the rear bumper since there alot less space than OEM. My father had some left over piping from his exhuast he made for his supercharged blown 1932 coupe so that helped me out also. We measured and fitted numerous time and welded the exhaust together piece by piece and came out like this.

Its just as quite as OEM at Idle even with my TWM ITBs, but when I give it gas it has a nice deep roar. Not high pitch which I am super happy about.

All in all I was overall happy with it and it didnt cost me a fortune to make. Ill prolly be getting custom Ti tips made for it later this year.

That is so awesome! I love DIY and I love doing things right, and this is a clear case of doing both.

Your car is fantastic, and very well executed. I love it.
