red seats in a yellow s2k? yuck.

 

i called racetech today. their seats have a 3 ply padding (sfi hard padding, memory foam, and then regular foam). they can be ordered in custom color combinations also yellowstar. call them, they were pretty good about answering my questions. you can also buy an optional additional lumbar pad. im personally trying a couple seats out tomorrow but am leaning between the cobra suzuka (the technology series if i can get a good deal) or the racetech 4009 seat in carbon/kevlar. im 25 and have had a torn disc in my lower back for a couple years. i definitely know what you mean about needing back support.

Update: Never buy Sparco Revs. I adjusted my seat to not be reclined at all. As I was doing this, the seat was in my house and as I was sitting in it, it was the first time I realized that even with the lumbar pillow, the seat has NO lower back support at all even after adjusting the tilt. I stuffed the lumbar pillow to about 3x its original size.

Afterward, it felt more comfortable and had better seating posture, but after about 30 minutes of driving, instead of my lower back hurting, my upper back started to hurt.

Time for Racetechs.

Edit: I've also come to the conclusion that these seats are the source of my back pains. After I quit driving my car, my back pains have diminished 90% over the course of a few weeks - a month.
