Default Speedo wont read more than 180km/h

Hi Guys,

I have a JDM spec S2000.

These cars are equipped with a speed de limiter of 112mph, which is 180km/h.

I over rided this when I replaced the Ecu with a Mugen N1 Ecu, but when I pass the 180km/h, the speedo wont read more, the car keeps on accelerating, but the figures on the speedo, remain the same (180km/h)

Is there something I can do to make the speedo read beyond that speed.

cheers

It probably has something to do with the speed sensor, wouldn't it? The speedo is just little lights, so I wouldn't think swapping that out would do anything.

There is a microprocessor in the display. So it is more then just lights.

I stand corrected. I'm sure this guy knows what he's talking about much more than I.

Swap it out for a Canadian/US cluster and you should be good to go.
