Sure it can be worse the your AP1 ecu.
You would think Spoon would lean out the mixture since even 03's ecu's still ran rich.
1 dyno pull is all you need, shouldn't cost more then $50 plus you get to see some results on paper

On the worst case, i'll try to raise my fuel pressure to get more richer.

As someone who ran the AP1 01 ecu in his 04 AP2 I would like to chime in about running the Spoon ECU in your AP2.
I tested both the factory 04 ECU, the 01 ECU, and the Spoon ECU at the drag strip. The 01 ECU netted me the fastest times. The Spoon ECU was the slowest. Driving the car on the highway with the Spoon ECU felt terrible, the engine didn't sound smooth at all. I felt like I was hurting the car. I quickly sold off the Spoon ECU as I do not believe it is well suited for the AP2.
I have an 03 ECU that I meant to try in my AP2 but never got around to. This thread is helpful because of the little trick for grounding the immobilizer. I'm going to do that to this 03 ECU and toss it in the 01 I'm driving right now. Thanks for saving me a trip to the dealer! haha

Pin/Wire 15 on the ECU Harness controls the FLR (Immobilizer). Ground that to the car and no more Immobilizer and you start the car right up.

I want to perform this mod inside the ECU and not on the harness, just like was done on my old Spoon ECU. I assume I'm grounding pin 15(from which connector?) to B2?
Feel free to PM me the info if you don't want to make it public.

because allmotorslut posted about whether or not he needed to jump the wire on the "longest" plug and then confirmed he had it working. The A plug is the longest plug, that's why I chose A15.
So I should be using B15 and grounding it to B2?

mor.gan, that can't be right...
On the s2000 ECU there is no "D" connector, even though one could physically plug in, there aren't any actual pins there.
You just posted a link to the instrument cluster pinout. You're saying I need to ground the indicator lamp light from the cluster? What would that accomplish?
Allmotorslut's link was more helpful, but it seems to indicate that A15 is indeed the immobilizer fuel pump relay pin, which is what I tried already. Shouldn't grounding that to a ground pin (such as B2) do the trick?
Allmotorslut, which pins did you end up hotwiring together? Did you do it in the harness or open up the ECU and do it from inside?
Right now I have a jumper wire running between pins A15 and B2. Do I need to sever the connection to the ECU for pin A15 maybe? You mentioned you might have cut the wire in the harness leading to the ECU and grounded it.
