stoptech vs spoon
Does anybody know the difference in size between the stoptech calipers and the spoon ones. I read the spoons will fit behind 17x7.5 +44 prodrive gc07s without spacers and was curious if the stoptechs were bigger and if so by how much. (If anybody has these wheels in this offset does it rub?) thanks
My Stoptech 328mm BBK actually fits behind my Prodrive GC07 17x7.5+48. But where on the rotor the caliper sits makes a difference... I think the rotors of the Stoptech kit are larger, thus holding the caliper out further, into the deepest part of the GC07 spoke. Maybe this doesn't make sense. Sorry. But that's my setup. It fits.... BARELY.
No, that makes sense that the spoke goes farther out as it gets closer to the edge, thus giving more room for the calipers then if it were closer to the center. Makes sense. Any rubbing with those wheels? Thanks for the help.
Nope, they fit perfectly. They are the same size/offset that Volks are offered in for the S2K.
I needed a 10mm spacer to clear the Stoptechs with my old LE37s. No spacer needed on the Prodrive.
All about the concave vs flat spokes. No lip helps, too. Haha. Anyways, I am running -1.5 camber in front, 225 tires, and pretty low on BC RS Coilovers.

The Endless larger 6 pot BBK will clear the Prodrive GC07s 17x7.5 +44 with no spacer. The Spoon calipers (almost OEM size) will clear the +48 front with no spacers.
You cant really compare the Spoon 4 pot calipers with the Stoptech BBK. The Stoptech is a complete front BBK upgrade while the Spoon calipers are 4 piston and barely a step up over the OEM calipers.
So the +44 offset will clear the endless bbk with no spacers????? Is that a 17" or 18" and would a 17x7.5 +44 rub? It is crazy how much more space those wheels have and they are still a light and strong forged wheel!! JsAP1 you have had a lot of brake kits, are the endless ones really superior if money and tire size is no option?

17x7.5 might rub depending on your drop, camber, and tire size.
Endless, Project Mu, Winmax, Brembo, and Stoptech are all great packages and you really cant go wrong with any of them. Depends on what you are going for. All have good reps and good products. Its up to you.
