Top Secret
I was just curious if anybody had any experience with these coilovers? I remember a while back somebody was saying they were going to go with them but I never heard anything more. I think it was ben or somebody but i forget. Anybody try them yet? I'm going to be heavily modding my s in about 6 months and i was wondering about j's crux or the top secret. Yes I know there are a lot of others out there like penski and motions for the money but I would like to know if there is any experience with either of these. Thanks guys
I am running the Aragosta with Swift Springs, the "Top Secret" setup for my S2000 and have for about 6 months. I know of maybe 2 others in the US that has this same setup and a guy in Europe.
Its kinda stiff with the 14/12 spring rates. Its 13 way adjustable and retails for like $2700+ and for another $150-$250 you can upgrade your springs to stiffer or softer rates. Height adjustability can drop you up to a 5 inches in the front and 3 in the rear. I like them and have had no problems with them. The main thing I really like is the bounce you get with extreme lowering is pretty much taken away with these. I had mine set at the stiffest setting when I had my full rollcage and other bars and few other suspension upgrades and the car was pretty damn stiff but for my everyday driving I set it back to one click away from the softest setting and its perfect, especially with my new Potenzas..
I would honestly look at a less expensive set unless you have the budget for them.
Try taking a look at Zeal or Bilstein. Better bang for the dollar IMO. I have had both Bilstein PSS9 and Zeal B6s and they are great entry level sets and prices are under $2000 for both sets. Although I think the Zeals have been discontinued but a newer version is out of the same coilover.

Are you running the actual top secret coilovers or Aragosta and swift springs? Just curious cause they might be valved differently. the Aragosta setup on bulletpeoof was $2700 while the top secret setup was $3700. Did you used to have Ohlins coilovers? If so how do they compare to those? Thanks bro

My buddy has the Ohlins and loves them.
Do the Aragostas use a remote resevoir. In my honest opinion, for a heavily tracked car, you'll need the added suspension travel that Remote Resv. suspensions offer. Especially if you're using R compound obviously. J'sAP1 has had high praise for the Aragostas, so for a street car, I'd say they are probably very effective.
Good luck, when in doubt, try something new and share with others.
BTW, their Motons not Motions.

Ben reconended the top secret coilovers to me as well. Haven't been able to research anything on them yet. I'm not sure if this wouldn't be over kill. I've noticed more and more people trying the Buddy Club P1 Racing coilovers. I'm a believer though in you get what you pay for. What I want is lower and stiffer. Less bounce.
