So, lemme get this straight...

You swapped your USDM ecu for a JDM ecu and now you're swapping your JDM ecu for an aftermarket ecu?

If this is the case, what year is the JDM ecu?

So is this the ECU from your car? If so, then it is a USDM. If not, then did you buy a JDM ECU?

Did you get it reprogrammed? I am just wondering how you got it to work, since I looked into this and found out that it was a bigger PIA than changing the USDM ECU. Also, I think the JDM ECU is mapped for higher octane cars.

Yes thats why Im not sure you can run this on a usdm car. The fuel mapping and timing is not something the dealer can change on a jdm ecu, so your only option would be to run higher octane gas.
