Default $1,400.00 to paint spoon sports rear bumper

I just got a written estimate from wagon work collision body shop in Va, Alexandria $1,400 just to paint spoon sports rear bumper. The bumper is high quality and fitment is excellent. They had to cut 3/4 off the lower bumper to test fit and the bumper has to be prep, prime and paint, about 12 hours of labor cost, and some small adjustments of rear light. I know there are $300 for a paint job and $1000 for a paint job. You get what you paid for, but this is very high. Comments are welcome

just for the rear bumper alone, I think it is very expensive, but then again, they are a reputable shop. They deal with alot of high end cars like bmw, porsche, audi, mercedes, nsx, corvette, etc...
I am thinking about it, maybe I just have to bite the bullet and let them do it

you know youve got too much money when you pay more to get a bumper painted, than the bumper itself.
