Yes, and so is Cale. Currently, I need to shed 3 pts to be in TTB and Cale will be in TTC. The S2000 is saddled with 7 pts right from the start in TTD. 32 pts are assigned to my engine/fuel delivery.

Good news is that Cale should be highly competitive, if not dominant, in TTC. Provided 2007 record lap times are close to the same in '08, I can be on the podium with some regularity.
That's cool. Hope you guys do well next year. I'll sign up for the HPDE events and watch you guys.

If I had the experience to do TTs, I would jump on it in a second. I'm in HPDE 1 right now, so I have a long way to go. I wonder if there are any short cuts???

I don't think there are any shortcuts. I know I have to apply for the TT "license," if it's called that. I'm hoping to have the car ready for NASA's February event and have the TT director at least look at me. I know the TT season does not start with the first event.

Thanks Skip. I think the changes are going to make the "average guys" less competitve, especially if the sponsored guys get in that class.

Not sure if you saw, but they've added a season championship. A team can switch cars one time as long as the cars compete in the same class. Since a team can take its best 4 finishes, I'm thinking of talking to a couple of the Cali guys. They would run the early Cali races and i would run the later east coast ones.

I can tell you right now, Shenandoah in August will produce slower times than this past year- heat.

I didn't see that part. That'll be cool though. You should hit them up on it. I also saw in street class that convertibles are now required to retain the stock roll hoops even if you have a roll bar. Hmm... this might have made the decision easier for me.

I did, but I figured I would be more competitive in street class this year, and I also don't want to buy a set of tires with a wear rating around 50 just for this event.
