2011 MD/NOVA Auto-X Thread
Anyone who is planning on running the Cumberland Airport annual long course on June 4 needs to sign up ASAP. There is only 10 more spots open. It will likely be the fastest top speed you will ever reach at an autocross....
It is a psuedo throw back to when SCCA had a big national race at the airport. It was one of the "big" annual races with Sebring, etc in the 50's. They use most of the taxiway, etc and make a 70-80s course that is very high speed. I would expect a b-stock car to hit 80mph.....some of the big hp cobras might go triple digits.
Where were you?
--I ran morning and afternoon. The lot was decent, but old and had some cracks and holes on it. The course was too tight and with a lot of slaloms, also it did not flow well. I was trying different air pressures and got some good practice.
