2011 Track Junkie Thread
So far, so good. At Jefferson it got a bit warmer than when I last ran Summit main. I attribute that to the fact that the track is fairly small. IIRC it's only 1.2-1.4 mile track with short straights. During my last session when it was 70-75 outside the coolant temps creeped up to 210. I didn't drive as hard for half a lap and they were back down to 202. During the cooldown lap the coolant temps dropped ~15*, which shows how well the oem radiator does at keeping things cool. Oil temps peaked at 231 over the weekend, that was also my last session. Overall, still very pleased with the kit.

Is the P-Tuning turbo kit continuing to do well with track duty? No overheating problems?
I have almost no doubts about going FI with the S2000 at some point in the next few years. I think it'll always be more of a street car than a track car for me, and for that 98% of the time I'm not on the track, FI>NA.
I've been day dreaming about it since the days before I even bought my car. I'm watching your track experiences closely (in a non-creepy way
)

^^^That's just how he tries to stay ahead of people. You're lucky you didn't see the bananna peel and turtle shell.

If there is anything that will keep Pete from passing someone, its risk of soiling his pretty car.
George taught me a few years back to clip that dirt on the left side entry to turn four on SP Main and watch the pretty boys swerve & brake behind you.

or put 2 off in the gravel trap in 3 and don't lift. That always freaks out the nice paint jobs on your bumper.
We'll be there racing the ReVolvo. Come see us. Hopefully we'll still have a motor and be in the race by the time your sessions are done. Otherwise we'll have to sit around and watch Pete get lit and spray paint crap on the car like last time.
