The ReVolvo is alive again! Got the engine back in with 'new' used transmission. Fired it up and it works! Removed the tail gate, all sound deadening tar, air chiseled the interior and removed all extraneous metal (ie dead weight). Lost another ~75 lbs on the car.

We drilled out the strut towers and notched the strut hole so we now have a bit more negative camber up front.

All new rotors, Carbotech Enduro pads in front, new tires.

We just have to flush some fluids and get an alignment.

Shout out to UAG and Brakeswap.com for their help.

Sounds good Pete. Nice work on the Race Car Continuous Improvement Program RCCIP

Did you just pick some random place for the hole for the pull tab?
No, I put the hole for best pull angle on the bell crank and to avoid some internal reinforcement.

Bring earplugs. The car has a very effective Loud pedal.

Took the S for a test drive today and it feels strong. I had to adjust about 7 of the 16 valves and most were a little tight. None were off enough to cause a drop in power though.

No, it wasn't loud before the adjustment so it seems to be the about the same.

Hyperfest drivers aka Ron and Clarkster - we should make a plan of where to paddock. I haven't done a hyperfest HPDE but I'm sure the paddock will be packed.

No red roof in to reserve spots

Ok, that sounds good to me...I have never been to an event before, so I have no idea how things work. What else do I need to bring besides a helmet? (Which I guess I should get this weekend...)

That's another good point...are all the hotels around there pretty booked?

I thought last year Hyperfest issued passes to the paddock - so only registered participants could get back there. Hyperfest is crazy from the event standpoint - people will be getting there early (fri night) and camping out etc...

i'd look into finding a new 'red roof inn' instead of getting a hotel
