If the buddy club rail won't let me put the bottom within 1/2" of the floor then I'll be doing something custom.

Why no taitec rails? The Mugen seats I have sit pretty low and could be adjusted another .5-1 inch lower with these rails.

I've personally never had any issues with the Buddy Club rails but I think this new seat might have a bottom too big plus I was told the mounting holes on the new seat are a lot lower than the pole position.

What does the Taitec rail go for? I honestly could care less about the adjustability aspect of any rail. I just need it right for me. I want to get or make whatever will let me put the very bottom of the seat within 1/2" of the carpet or even barely touching would be better.

I can't get lower than the 3rd adjustment on the rear with the buddy clubs. The bottom of the seat hits the rail. It would be ideal if I could get it to the bottom one, but even the second to last would suffice.

Have you seen the pictures of the Buddy Club rails with the broken welds? That is enough to make me stay far away from them.

^ I have not although I've read about it quite a few times. I've had two different buddy club rails between my two s2000s and never had a problem with either.

With the new seat I'll probably just buy sidemounts and make a fixed rail.

I have also seen the Taitec rail suggested a few times but can't seem to find where to buy one. Any hints?

Buddy club also had issues with their MacPherson strut damper mounts failing at the welds.
They also didn't properly heat treat some of their damper top hat studs, making them very brittle and prone to failure.

i.e. stay away from buddy club

I bought mine from science of speed. I hadn't heard they were discontinued though. Give them a call and see if they have any laying around.

The taitec rails are side mount and adjustable for your preference in seating position. It's not like you'll be adjusting them daily but it gives you the ability to angle your seat to preference and adjust height to your liking. They also slide forward/back but not something you'll do often.
