Do you miss it yet? What color was it? It didn't look like any of the stock colors. Yours was the one with the Top Secret bumper and Veilside hood, correct?[/quote]
I am sorry, I did not know the wounds were still so fresh! Well Happy Birthday!
Here is a good rolling chassis that would make a great present and a fun project. Do you still have your trailer? Road trip!

If you guys had a choice on an electric impact, would you choose Bosch or Makita?

Also, do you know if Home Depot's and Amazon's return policies let you test out the tool, or does it have to be returned unused?

Someone punch Kevin, please.
I have nothing left. Today my data logger and Hans leave my possession. I'm keeping my communicator because I plan to still instruct.

Thanks to all for the birthday wishes! Wish y'all were joining us for some karting this afternoon.

I agonized over which impact gun to buy, and ended up buying a very lightly used Dewalt on ebay for about $160 with 2 batteries. Its a fantastic tool.
Ha it seems like a lot of people like DeWalt. Well, I considered a bunch, including DeWalt and Ingersoll Rand as well, but heard most positives on Bosch and Makita. DeWalt's lithium ion impact wrench with one battery is $360, Makita's is about $350, and Bosch's is $430. I wanted to get a cordless drill as well since I do not have any power tools yet, and Amazon had some great deals on combo packs with impact drivers.
I ended up getting a cordless drill, 1/4" impact driver, 1/2" impact wrench (tool only) and TWO batteries for $360 for Bosch and $370 for Makita...planning to return one of them though.
The main advantages of the Makita is the fact the tool has a 3 year warranty compared to Bosch's 1 year, and what may or may not be handy...Makita sells a car charger.
^I did look at Hitachi too as well as Panasonic. Both seemed nice but the prices were a little high because they didn't have any holiday promotions.
Do you think I could open them and test them and still return the one I prefer least? I am not sure what the general return policy is for tools.
