I don't want this to sound completely negative, it did help some. Matt, you are in need of significant lowering.

I do have the BYS rail. It's lower, but not that much lower and I think it changes the seats geometry enough to cause lower back pain on longer trips. (It seems the lower the back of the seat more than the front.)

I agree, they dropped about 1" and I barely pass tech.

thanks guys Skip just *un*recommended the ACT HD PP, for reasons i do not know (although i just asked... hoping i didn't open a can of Skip worms.)

I'm thinking heavily about the Clutch Masters FX300 with a SoS flywheel (i have an ap1.. so if i get the 11.5 it will be fairly close to stock, if i get the 8.5... i'm thinking driveability would suck)

we'll see what Skip has to say about the ACT pp, if its respectable it may influence my choice, if its BS, i may go for a custom "kit" if you will. that is, mix and match pp, friction disk and flywheel.

edit: Skip can't remember why he doesn't like it
If I remember correctly the old PP design had a lot of controversy about causing crank walk or not causing any problems.

The new redesigned PP hasn't had any complaints that I know of.

Did you guys with the lowered seat rails do the seat pan lowering mod too? I had both and the pan mod lowers the front of the seat quite a bit, but it's still not nearly as low as a Sparco with the bottom seat cushion removed.

No, Rob. Got a link to more info/how-to on that?

Gilly, Jeff and I both have the SoS clutch. I went with the ultralight flywheel. It's really not bad.

Here's the seat pan mod (scroll down for pics):

It's pretty easy and it does lower the seat, especially the front of the bottom cushion.
