Any opinions on the Corbeau FX1 Pro Seats? link. I need something a lot lower than the stock seats before I get out on the track this year.

Do I need/should I get, seat back braces with them?
I didnt double check but please don't buy non FIA rated seats. You can find them cheap.

I'm sure they're not cheap, but what do you have?
You may get them to work with a little dent in the side panels?

I have Sparco Rev Plus. The side bolsters are 22.8" wide. I think they basically have to be under 23" to work without any fitment issues. People do get wider seats in but there are some fitment issues.

I have a Sparco seat mount for S2000 (MY 2000-2005) drivers side if you are interested. They are designed for side mount usage and are direct bolt-in. I experienced seat height issues (with a Sparco slider) but you probably will not have any issues if you do not use a slider. I also have the upgraded Sparco aluminum side mounts for sale. All parts are pretty much brand new (were installed and then removed). Let me know if you are interested, I'll give you a hell of big discount on them.

I have Memory Fab carbon seats for the Miata.

They are super light (w/o) the Sliders and set me about 2 inches lower.

I bet they will fit in your car, You are welcome to try a test fit later this spring when I pull my car out.

Please note, for most HPDE events you need the same seat and harness setup for both the driver and instructor.

Not many instructors will get into your car in the OEM passenger seat if you have a race seat and harness for the driver only.

If you are looking for super cheap seats those F1specs ones are dirt cheap, but they are not FIA certified so who knows what will happen if you crash in them.

Have you thought about BYS lowered rails for the OEM seat?

I had written them off a while ago because I didn't think it would make enough of a difference. I'm not positive though. I haven't done any exact measurements yet (I guess I should get around to doing that, huh?), but I'm pretty sure I need to drop ~3" to get my helmeted head to pass a broomstick test.

I have Taitec rails and Recaro seats. The seat bottom is touching the carpet. Doesnt get much lower without a fixed bracket.

Looks like my Sparco Rev seats with Taitec rails are now for sale.

PS. These are narrow seats with outstanding side bolstering. They do not hit door panels or center consoles. Consequently, they are narrow. Over 33" waists need not apply.
