2012 MD/NOVA Auto-X Thread
Short notice, but if you look at this thread: My link you will see what is going on. I just need an AP1 for about 20 minutes in Manassas, and and AP2 for about 45 minutes. Anyone interested in lending their car, please PM me or reply to this thread.
Basically this is just verification that the Greddy Emanage Ultimate properly can raise the AP rev limiter from 8,200 to 8,500 rpm. 8,500 is what Flashpro uses for their raised rev limiter, so it is safe. For the AP1 we simply need to verify that our modified harness that we will be shipping out functions properly (maybe one dyno pull, maybe just connect and verify smooth from idle through 9,000 rpm. Ideally, we would do a dyno of the AP1 and look at the AFR and you would get a dyno plot with your peak HP and torque, but I cannot promise that since I have not checked the dyno availability.
If you can help out on short notice, for this Friday May 25th, I appreciate it, as do many drivers of Honda S2000s in the STR autocross class.
Thanks!!

Yeah that was fun at level 1. Wished we had more runs. Improved my time by 4 seconds from morning to afternoon, which showed me how slow I was. Got pulled over on the way back for not having a front license plate. Oops.
I saw that a whooping 37 people are registered for the DE Super Shootout. I plan to register as soon as I can, hopefully the numbers pick up. The format sounds really cool and I'd like to give it a shot, with better results than my last big event. haha
Personally, I like the setup of prosolos, but prefer the courses of national tour events. This Super Shootout is the best of both. Plus this is it's first year; we need to support it so that it doesn't fade like the Narional Street Tire Championship did. Support Junior Johnson!
Im already registered and feel you all should too. Cash prises, and a fairly short 2.5 hour drive from Baltimore area. Totally worth it.

I thought the pro solo was ok but I typically travel by myself, no codriver, and I definitely could have used someone to adjust tire pressure for me. I prefer the high speed long nationals courses as well. We do get grid time between runs right?
I definitely plan to register, I'm just chasing down some clients to make sure I can justify it. Looks like I may be able to stay on site in an RV too.
Hopefully I'll get to meet you too Noel, seemed at the Pro we were always going in different directions,,,, Between working, running, running late for my work assignments, etc...

Likewise Jeff. I got a Honda Pilot finally, so will be doing more travel events without fear. Thing is super high miles, but in excellent condition, so fingers crossed. Will be modifying it over the next few weeks for devens, Toledo, Dover, and more.
Alternatively we WDCR folks could arrange a group drive over to Dover in the S2000s. It's a nice drive over the bay bridge

Let me know how the Pilot tows. I have to add a oil cooler and trans cooler to mine in hopes it'll tow well but I know I'd be close to its capacity. I'm planning to get the wife a new car and when that happens I'll be able to take the truck and S for the weekend and she would care less.
