Good to know that. That sounds more better than my guess theory.

 

Rear calipers are done. Front calipers are next this weekend.

 

Why are you painting your calipers? They will heat discolor during your next track day.

 

Rob, I was just reading through your site (great site BTW). Do you get a CEL with non-emissions legal catch can setup?

 

You won't have any problems if you put the catch can in the PCV line. I'm not so sure about my current setup. I do occasionally do get CELs but I have the air pump removed without the bypass device.

 

Because I don't like the red paint that was already in it so I stripped it and repainted it with Duplicolor caliper paint.

 

Looks nice Ron! I used the Duplicolor spray paint. It seems to hold up pretty well, although I am not generating the same heat in the brakes as you fast guys. I think the spray will hold up better than the brush on stuff. Either way, once it's covered by brake dust you can't see any discoloration

 

The Factory red Calipers on the vette are Turning dark red in places.

 

Thanks Kevin. I wasn't going to paint it but I can't strip off all the red paints so I decided to just cover the entire area with silver paint.

 

The silver paint should hold up decent...I know you don't care about the bling bling

Ugh, I want to sign up for the TrackDaze RDE for Monday-Tuesday..it's 3 hours track time per day!! $180 per day or $310 for two. It is intermediate+ solo though..I don't know if I am at that point. Is anyone going to that?
