Was thinking about doing the TD next weekend at SP, until I saw the forecast.

I'll be there. Misery needs company so sign up. It will only be 90 on Sunday. I figure with enough canopies and the trees of summit main for shade it should be ok, but I am not camping.

Anybody have an opinion of a good r@!n tire? I am thinking about picking up a spare set of wheels because my NT01's turned into slicks their first weekend on track. I am looking for anything decent in the w*t and available on tire rack as I have an account with them through work. I am aware that without a LSD my car is going to be terribly slow, but want something with grooves so that it is atleast safe and predictable.

Did a valve adjustment on the car yesterday. Most intake valves were about 20% off the specs too loose. Some exhaust valves were like that as well. This is crazy cause I've had a valve adjustment done about 30k miles ago....

Nice looking setup Jason. When are you aiming to attend your first event with it?

Dave, I thought somewhere earlier in this thread people were talking about how amazing the Hoosier W!t tires are. What size are you running now? TireRack has a 225/45/15 and a 225/55/15 size.

How often are you supposed to have a valve adjustment done?

It's Monday...just some motivation for slugging it out at work another week...I think this looks nice:

I'm still in for VIR in October if everybody else is still good.

I would still like to get in an event at summit before VIR to make sure everything is good.

I use R888 245/45/17 full tread tires that I only run in the wet and work great but I'll go with Hoosier wets for the next set.

Matt, last year's SCCA comp school was a total blast. You'll be one the fastest cars in the school Running TT does a good job preparing you for it.

The Hoosiers are pretty much God from what I am reading, but at that price point they are not a good tire for a HPDE'er like me. I just noticed that Tire Rack now sells Toyo stuff so I will look into them.

Cool. I was looking at other tires until I realized that TireRack now sells Toyo. I will probably go with those aswell. Do you ever get them heat cycled?
