Well, I'm gonna go with LithiumIon battery as soon as it comes out from them. I'm currently talking to the owner about getting one. I hope that I'll be below 300$ mark, but we will see. The plus is that the battery will be portable, universal, easy to handle and charge....and the best part.... 1.6 instead of 30lbs

meanwhile I might pull a battery out of my dads car and go for a ride while he's not looking

Damn that is light! I just got one of the new 30 pounders but haven't installed it yet. How long do these smaller ones last? There has to be some tradeoffs to having such a small battery...
