2013 Track Junkie Thread
I just did a search on camax and cargurus and couldn't find a single 2004-2007 WRX, much less the most desirable 2006 model. I did find a 2006 Impreza non-wrx for $14,000. So much for the $5000 donor car. Maybe I'll go to a Subie track day and just buy a crashed one on the spot
STi no good! Has to be base or WRX. On a related note I lost my 3rd engine last week so I'm going to sell my race car and get something more reliable on track like a Miata or maybe an 818.

I just sold our 2006 STI with 56k miles. They are expensive track cars. Plenty of wrecked ones around, they seem to be a favorite of the street racing 18 year old crowd.
That sucks, Rob. If you are thinking about a Miata and plan on going with a cage make sure you sit in a finished one first. I am sure you have been in one at some point but just want to make sure you're aware of just how small they are.

I have a F20C that I'm (eventually) going to pull if you want it. From what I have seen WRX engines are much less reliable than S2000 engines.

Rob, were your bottom ends all stock? I can't recall.
