Man, this is sad. The 2010 Track Junkie Thread had 3 different threads with 86, 81, and 72 pages! The 2013 only has one thread with 30 pages Where is the participation and excitement?

So before I buy...are 255/40/17 definitely a no-brainer over a 245/40/17 square setup? I had been using 245s but am running the new wheel setup.

what are the offsets for that wheel? Generally people use a 255 but 245 would work fine too.

With 255, I get a little rubbing in front and the fender liner is torn up. That is with 60mm offset. If you are running lower, you will have to roll your fenders.

Nice! Someone finally bought that one. I was tempted, but got a fiberglass Mugen for $900.

They are +49. I had RPF1s before in 17x9 +45 with 245s and they didn't appear to rub. Hopefully there is enough clearance for the 255, but I was also wondering if there is definitely more grip/braking with the 255.

I would not expect a big difference between a 245 and a 255. Some manufactures 245 may be actually wider than another manufacturers 255. The lower sidewall on the 245 will be more responsive and less forgiving.

Are you at stock height? Not sure how you did not rub with a 45 offset? You roll the heck out of your fenders?

My 245 Advans seemed pretty square, but I have not seen a lot of wheels for comparison.

I am lowered a bit on KW V3s. Oleg did help roll the fenders a bit and cut out the fender liner around the edge of the fender. I don't think I was rubbing, except for maybe that bump in that T-9 right hander on Main maybe a little. They don't look perfect, but then again, neither does the rest of the car
