Kevin and Jim, thanks for recommending me!

SlowTeg, Kevin texted me and said the two of you would be able to come by the shop on Saturday. I'll see ya then.

I recommend David too.

I'll need one once I put the konis on.
Where's he located? I need an alignment sometime this spring.
VA off 495

Can I second the of where my own job is? Tonight's commute SUCKED.

TopGear, the shop is at 495 and Braddock Rd if you're familiar with the area. If you feel like making the trip I am happy to help. It looks like I will be doing Jim's CR sometime in the near future if you want to cruise down with him.

Congrats on the good weekend, Matt. I just got the dash back in the Miata and took all of the vents out to make it fit around the dash bar. Perhaps I should rethink that...

Yep.. everyone's bitching that you're off of 495 and Braddock but that's close to me.. For those of you coming down from MD that hate the traffic on 495/around Tysons, you can hop on the new toll lanes. There's an exit for Braddock Rd. As much as I hate paying more tolls, they've saved me a lot of times when there are accidents on 495. See you on Saturday.

On sunday, the rain racing was pretty hairy. It was only the 3 S2000s as the FWD guys either broke or wussed out. Peter won, me 2nd, JFO 3rd. Peter qualified 2nd and stomped JFO who had no wipers (in the pouring rain). I "could" have passed for the win in T10, as I was running 5 secs a lap faster (I know the track, he doesn't) but didn't want to risk my car and Peters. Ended up going straight off in T1 after trying to outbrake someone and took the access road. Turned around and got back on about 45 secs later. Overall racing in the rain is actually kind of fun, but frightening. It FORCES you to become a better driver real fast. I had a stick to wipe the fog off my windshield, but it was covered with wax or oil and totally made a mess of visibility.

Going 110 in the rain 100ft behind several cars throwing spray and having a fogged up windshield is one of the more dangerous things I have done in a while. I hope my wife isn't reading this....
Nice job on the podiums. That rain racing sounds super sketchy.

on the podiums and thanks for sharing the story...that must have been pretty nuts driving in that without much visibility. I'm surprised that your windshield was fogging though with both windows down.

Not mention using a stick to try and de-fog the window.

The only time I have been fast in the Miata at SP main is in the rain.
