The new route has been determined. It is a varaiation of the route from the last two years. I have added more twists and turns and removed some of the rolling hills. This should be more enjoyable for everyone. The route will not be posted here.

The Special Use Permit is issued by the National Park and allows us to enter the park together in one group. A large number of cars entering together is not allowed without this permit and the park would have the right to break us up in to groups of 3. The price for the permit this year is $200.00 again which I pay up front for everyone each year. I will again be accepting any donations to reimburse me for the cost of this permit. We have had excellent reviews of our behavior the last two years so obtaining this permit again this year will be easy for us.

(10:45) Gas stop (approx. 70 mins from meeting place):

If the National Park System remains closed due to the government shut down, the locations below here are not relevant

(11:30) Lunch at Skyline Restaurant (Mountain Room):

Things to remember:
* This is for s2000s only
* Stay in your lane (do not cross double yellow lines)
* Headlights on at all times
* Stay a safe distance from the car in front of you
* When turning on to a new road, be sure to slow down/stop to let the car behind you know that we turned
* Temps will drop 5-10 degrees from beginning of drive to top of skyline drive
* Bring radios if you have them. Due to wind noise an ear piece might help as well, but that might be illegal?

Thanks for the heads up. I'll do another vote on weekends like last year to try to get a good attendance. I was thinking this date because it's free entrance day at the park so would save people money. I have to figure out the interest in etching as well to get that lined up. I need like 4 different polls for this meet. Are you coming again this year if available?

I'm interested (in meet/drive); my car is doesn't have a muffler though (just a turndown off of the downpipe). I don't want to cause problems for other S2000 owners, so I'll likely have to forgo the VIN etching.

herecomesboost: The State Police are aware that there will be non legal cars and are over looking it to help builder a better relationship between car enthusiasts and them. I need to find a good amount of interest before I finalize them showing up as well so it might not happen. I'm just trying to offer new things to our meets and s2k community. I certainly understand where you are coming from, but your s2000 (legal or not) is welcome and will not cause problems. (Please don't do some crazy burn out in front of them haha)
