I am an S2k owner in Huntsville, AL. I have recently gotten in to Autocross and am looking for a cheap second S to abuse. Anyhow, I have been watching ebay for a while and this one turned up. I think its within a rebuildable price range (for my needs) but am concerned about engine issues/abuse.
The salvage says its in Capitol Heights, but is orginally from Virginia
Is there someone in this forum near this vehicle that might be willing to check it out for me? Google Maps
Really not a bad price if there's no frame damage and it really is just suspension. Hell... State Farm wanted me to give them $6500 for my buy back ---

Man, that looks like a nasty wreck. Were you driving it when this happened?
Jeallen - did you ask the guy if there's frame damage? It could be just the angle, but the front end looks like it's twisted.
Hey jeallen,
I live about 9 miles away. I'm sure i'll have time this weekend to go up that way. I'll shoot you more detailed pics and more specifics about the car when i see it.
Jee -- that would be great. I will PM you my contact info. You may not be able to see it on the weekend and -- it may well by then, so I wil stay in touch.
I don't really need pics, what I am looking for is an impartial observer to look at the car to see if the doors, hood, etc work without binding as these are key indicators of how true the chasis is. Obviously the right rear is the greatest concern. If the driver door binds, I need to pass on this car and appranenly there is also some damage to the right front, so anything buckled or bent underneath is a red flag.
